Reflections From The Moon Below
May 17, 2019 - June 29, 2019
Waller Gallery is pleased to present the exhibition Reflections From The Moon Below, a first for Baltimore artist Markele Cullins. This exhibition is Markele Cullins’ first solo show which explores nature and family as sources of healing, reflection, and acknowledgement of pain. The exhibition showcases printed textiles, blue toned photography, video and painting collage.
Reflections From The Moon Below references imagery from the past and present as tools for how memories and experiences pull, shift, and expand overtime. Cullins creates work that pulls from within by juxtaposing and altering these images with one another. Markele Cullins has contributed to the arts and music community through public speaking, curating, and djing in the city for over six years.
